adidas and AC Milan present the Rossoneri 2014/15 away jersey

In a uniquely styled launch, the AC Milan away kit that players will be wearing on pitch in the upcoming season was unveiled in New York during an event which saw as protagonists the coach Filippo Inzaghi and the whole AC Milan football team.

To celebrate the launch, the adidas store in New York on 610 Broadway turned red and black for the occasion. The team was greeted with great enthusiasm by American supporters who attended the event and had the chance of engaging in autograph sessions and photo calls with their idols.

Away jersey design
The away jersey comes in traditional white, displaying thin beige horizontal stripes and a round collar. A distinctive feature is the logo of Casa Milan – the latest, most modern headquarter of the Rossoneri recently opened in Milan- which is featured on the jersey just for this year.

The iconic three stripes adidas are in red, whereas the Italian tricolor is embedded on the back to underline once again the strong Italian connotation of the club which is hugely loved worldwide. Aditionally, the traditional red and black details are featured on the collar, on the sleeves and on the bottom hems of the jersey. The shorts are white with red stripes and with the AC Milan official logo.

With all of them incorporating the adizero technology – that ensures that this is lightest adidas kit ever, enabling maximum performance for the players – the three AC Milan uniforms which will be worn next season will help the players to be faster and more comfortable on the field.

The lightweight fabric increases breathability by providing greater freedom of movement as well as comfort without sacrificing flexibility and resilience.

“We are very delighted about this new jersey designed for us by adidas. The city of New York is the ideal place to showcase such a product where elegance, style and innovation are perfectly combined and integrated.” said Jaap Kalma, Commercial Director at AC Milan – “Meeting our American fans at the launch of the jersey to welcome the logo of Casa Milan, our new home , highlights the club’s total commitment, on a daily basis, to keep a deep bond between our hometown and our fans supporting us with affection all over the world.”

With the launch of the away jersey – which will make its debut in Toronto on July 24th in the match against Olympiacos – the kit collection for the 2014/15 season, featuring three distinctive logos on each jersey, is complete.

There’s a strong reference to tradition and to the club´s roots in the first jersey, featuring the Cross of St. George, a historical key element in the city of Milan´s Crest. The Cross was already used by the Club in the past in its red and black uniforms, from the year of its foundation up to the 40s. Within the Cross, tone on tone, the AC Milan logo stands out.

A sharp projection into the future comes with the white away jersey featuring the Casa Milan logo: a three-dimensional sphere symbolizing the red and black heart of AC Milan as well as the Club’s drive towards innovation, with the AC Milan words hemmed in gold.

Finally, an assertion of the present is embodied by the green-yellow third jersey, with the official logo of AC Milan standing out on the chest. This jersey was designed as a tribute to Brazil, which recently hosted the World Cup, and to which AC Milan has always been connected thanks to the passionate community of the club supporters living in the country.

A special feature on all the new uniforms: the names and numbers of the players are written in Milan Type, the new official font of the Club.
