The Indian Women’s national team has dropped three spots in the latest edition of the FIFA Women’s World Ranking released today.

India is now ranked 53rd in the world (11th in Asia) with 1433 points behind Peru (52nd / 1442 points) and ahead of Paraguay (54th / 1431 points).

The United States (2185 points) remain at the top of the FIFA Women’s World Ranking ahead of Germany (2nd), Japan (3rd), France (4th), Sweden (5th), Brazil (6th), England (7th), Canada (8th), Norway (9th) and Australia (10th).

The Indian team has the chance to improve its ranking in the next edition of the FIFA Women’s World Ranking depending on the outcome of the 17th Incheon Asian Games 2014 campaign.

The next FIFA Women’s World Ranking will be released on December 19.
