Mumbai FC sign sponsorship deal with Playwin

Mumbai FC, the only club from the city competing in the I-League, announced their association with Playwin as their official sponsor, at a media conference at The Cooperage on Tuesday.

The tie-up between Mumbai FC and Playwin, the biggest lotto brand in the country, is a great sporting connection.

Speaking about the association, Atul Badgamia, Deputy Vice President of Mumbai FC said, “Playwin is actively involved with clubs and promotes football. So they are the perfect partner for Mumbai and we are delighted to have them on board with us. This is an important deal for Mumbai football and all our supporters.”

“Another proud moment for us is the fact that we will again be playing our home games at The Cooperage Football Stadium. Since our first home game here at The Cooperage is on Sunday, February 8, I appeal to all our fans to flock the stadium in large numbers and support us,” Badgamia stated.

Sagar Sule, CTO, Playwin said, “Our association with Mumbai FC is the best thing to happen in football and I hope this union goes a long way. Playwin is the gaming brand of Pan India Network Ltd., part of the Essel Group and we’re proud to have signed this partnership with a truly global football club.”

Mumbai FC coach, Khalid Jamil said, “It’s my pleasure to be involved with this club for a long period, first as a player and now I very proud to be the coach of this wonderful club. I can guarantee that we will do well in the I-League and whenever we play at The Cooperage ground.”

The Mumbai club also mentioned that they have partnered The Football Mind portal for online ticket sales. Tickets will be available at www.mumbaifc.com.

It was also announced that there will be a contest for photojournalist. In order to encourage and acknowledge the efforts and talent of Mumbai photojournalists, Mumbai FC will award prizes for the ‘Best published photographs of action involving Mumbai FC’. The best three published pictures will be selected by a jury after the current I-League season and the top three winners will each receive cash prizes of Rs 25,000, 15,000 and 10,000 respectively.
