Legendary Argentine footballer Diego Armando Maradona has today confirmed his attendance and participation at the Soccerex Asian Forum 2015, 3-4 May, the Dead Sea, Jordan.

Universally recognised as one of, if not the, greatest players of all time, Maradona will be a guest of honour at the Forum, held in partnership with the Asian Football Development Project. Maradona will be treating delegates to a rare personal insight of his amazing career, including winning the FIFA World Cup with Argentina and that wonder goal against England in 1986. Also, he will be sharing his experiences of coaching in Asia from the time he spent as manager of the Dubai based Al Wasl FC in the United Arab Emirates.

Commenting on the announcement, Soccerex CEO, Duncan Revie said:
“I am hugely honoured to be welcoming Diego Maradona to the Soccerex Asian Forum. He is a true icon of the game, globally renowned for his achievements both as a player and a coach. There are very few people of his status in world sport – when he talks, the world listens and I am sure his appearance in Jordan will be no different. I for one cannot wait!”

The Asian Forum will be a hub of football business, bringing together the industry’s key decision makers with Football Associations from across Asia and the rest of the world. Senior figures from Europe’s elite clubs such as AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, Malaga CF, Galatasaray, Manchester City, Olympicaos, Palermo and Villareal will also be in attendance. They will be joined by leading representatives from major event committees including the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2016.
