The “TORFABRIK” will feature a new striking design when played in the stadiums of the two highest German leagues for the 2015/16 season. The official match ball of the Bundesliga, which adidas presented in the “Berlin Base” on Friday, stands out due to the diamond ribbons that seamlessly integrate with the black, red and gold graphic design (German national colors) on the balls exterior. The ribbons represent the close tie between the fans and the clubs of the league with the largest global audience on average. The crystal visuals signify the gems on the actual “Meisterschale”, the Bundesliga Trophy.
The new “TORFABRIK” is based on the technology of the “brazuca”, the official match ball of the FIFA World Cup 2014. The exterior structure of the “TORFABRIK”, along with the symmetry of the six identical panels allow for improved grip and ball control, as well as optimized gameplay conditions. The “TORFABRIK” has undergone intensive testing for weight, water uptake, form and size and now fulfills all of the FIFA conditions for an official match ball. During winter the ball will feature a bright Orange colour design to ensure optimum visibility in snowy weather conditions.
The “TORFABRIK” will be revealed on-pitch for the first time on Sunday the 12th of July during the Telekom Cup in Mönchengladbach. For fans and football enthusiasts the “TORFABRIK” is available on www.adidas.com, in adidas stores and in select retailers.
The training ball editon will be available for € 24,95, while the official match ball will be priced at € 129,95.
