India U-14 Girls blast nine goals past Nepal

The Indian U-14 Women’s National Team hammered Nepal 9-0 in their second fixture of the Groups Stages in the AFC U-14 Girls Regional Championship in Dushanbe, Tajikistan on April 27, 2016.

The Indian U-14 Girls shook-off their defeat against Bangladesh (1-3) and took the lead in the 1st minute itself when Bannya Kabiraj thumped her chance home. Nine minutes, later Santhiya scored for the Indian eves to make the scoreline read 2-0.

Strikes by Thailand Devi in the 13th and the 18th minute and Niketa in the 30th minute meant that India went into tunnel with a hefty lead as the half-time scoreline read 5-0.

The relentless pressure by the Indian girls lead them to further dividends in the second half as Kavi scored in the 39th minute to make it 6-0. Thailand Devi completed her hattrick in the 45th minute and Sunita Munda added to the tally in the 46th and the 56th minute as the full-time scoreline read 9-0 in India’s favour.
