The India U-17 World Cup Squad defeated the U-16 team of Norwegian Second Division (Adeccoligaen) side Ullensaker/Kisa IL 3-0 on June 24, 2016 in Norway.

Coming on the back of a 2-2 draw against Stabæk Fotball, the Indian colts dominated the match and kept hold of possession, whilst dictating the tempo of the game.

The attacking prowess of the Indian U-17 national team reaped dividends as early as the 9th minute when Komal tapped the ball home, following a cross from the right flank to give India a solitary goal lead.

The colts doubled their lead right before half-time in the 42nd minute when Ninthoi blasted his opportunity home after he latched onto a defense splitting pass by Boris to make the half-time scoreline read 2-0 in India’s favour.

The Norwegian club tried to minimize their deficit in the second half but the Indian defence line kept the opposition at bay, while the Indian midfield kept hold of the possession. The Indian team added another through Aniket in the dying embers of the match and at the end of time the full-time scoreline read 3-0 in India’s favour.
