Legendary Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho has arrived in Chennai, India on Wednesday night.

The former FC Barcelona star will be one of six marquee players participating in the inaugural edition of Premier Futsal. Ryan Giggs (Mumbai), Hernán Crespo (Kolkata), Paul Scholes (Bengaluru), Míchel Salgado (Kochi) and Falcao (Chennai) will be the other marquee players, besides Ronaldinho, who will be seen in action for the Goa franchise.

The first edition of Premier Futsal will see six franchises divided in two groups to battle it out over eight matchdays and 13 matches to make it to the finals which will be played in Goa on July 24, 2016.

The league will kick-off in Chennai on July 15, 2016, and will be telecast live and exclusive on Sony SIX, SONY ESPN and Sony AATH. Matches will also be available to live stream on SonyLIV.
