Puerto Rico announce 15-member squad for India match

The Puerto Rico national team is on its way to Mumbai for an international friendly against India on September 3.

Puerto Rico Head Coach Carlos García Cantarero has named 15 players for the upcoming match at the Mumbai Football Arena (Andheri Sports Complex) in Mumbai.

The Spanish coach has called-up four foreign based players namely Andrés Cabrero and Juan Coca from Finnish side Kultsu FC, Mike Ramos from Kitsap Pumas (USA) and Manolo Sanchez from United Soccer League outfit San Antonio FC.

The two national teams have never met each other before and the friendly will be the first ever match outside the (North & South) American continent for a national team from Puerto Rico.

Puerto Rico, ranked 114th in the latest FIFA World Ranking, was supposed to travel to India on early Wednesday, but they had to postpone their itinerary. The team left for India via New York on Thursday.
