Mohammedan Sporting beat East Bengal 2-0 to keep final round hopes alive

Mohammedan Sporting Club kept their final round hopes alive with a thrilling 2-0 victory over rivals East Bengal Club in a Round 9 Kolkata Zone encounter of the AIFF U-16 Youth League on Sunday at the Barasat Municipal Stadium.

After a barren first half, Surajuddin Munshi scored in the 76th penalty and Sovan Sen only three minutes later scored the two goals in the second session to help Mohammedan Sporting Club registering their fifth win of the U-16 Youth League.

Mohammedan Sporting Club, who now have 15 points from nine games, would host another rival in Mohun Bagan AC in their last match of the Kolkata Zone on Saturday, December 10 at the Mohammedan Sporting ground on the Kolkata Maidans.
