Soccerex are honoured to announce that Eddie Jones, the record breaking Head Coach of the England rugby team, will be speaking at the upcoming Global Convention 2017, Manchester, 4-6 September. Eddie will be adding his expert insight and sharing his thoughts as part of a packed conference programme, calling on his many years of experience coaching within the world of international rugby.

During his time in the game, Eddie has worked in a number of management roles and had success across the globe including spells in Japan, South Africa, England and his native Australia where he took them to the World Cup Final in 2003. In 2007, Eddie was Technical Advisor to the South African national team during their winning World Cup campaign, with the renowned coach heavily praised for his role in the triumph. Currently at the helm of the England national team – the first foreign coach to hold the post – Eddie led the team to their first Grand Slam win since 2003 when they conquered all before them in the 2016 RBS Six Nations Championship, going the whole year unbeaten and currently on a remarkable record breaking run of consecutive wins.

Always aspiring to learn and engage with others, Eddie will be sharing his thoughts on what sports can learn from each other and how skill sets can be developed by looking outside of your chosen sport for ways to improve both physically and mentally. His proven ability to take a squad of players, work with them to maximise their performance and create a winning mentality is something Eddie has managed at numerous teams, and will be discussed at the event.

With over 20 years of coaching experience at various levels, Eddie will bring his plethora of management knowledge to a conference programme jam packed with industry leading content, helping form the base for our performance related programme alongside sessions about Johan Cruyff’s football legacy  and the latest in sports technology. Eddie’s elite coaching expertise will be hugely beneficial for clubs and senior figures looking to gain experienced insight into the art of management and player development.
