Sunrise Club registered an impressive 7-1 win against Independent Club in a FAO 1st Division League match on Thursday.

Independent Club took the lead through Lingaraj Bhue (12′), but Sunrise Club came back strongly and turned the match to their favour. Anil Deep (20′), Bharat Munda (35′), Janmo Xess (38′, 48′, 49′ & 58′) and Ambika Lakra (41′) scored the goals for Sunrise Club.

Meanwhile, Bidanasi Club won the second match of the day against Kishore Club. Bijay Behera scored the lone goal of the match in the 53rd minute.

The FAO 1st Division League will continue on Friday with the fixtures Odisha Police v Azad Hind Club at 13.30 IST and Sports Hostel v Mangala Club at 15.30 IST.
