Mizoram Premier League Season 6 is gearing up to be played from the last day of this month, and a kick off programme will be held at Chanmari YMA Hall, Aizawl on the 25th of August. Attending this programme is Chirag Tanna, General Manager, Reliance Sports.

The kickoff programmes of previous editions have seen influential figures in Indian football with names like Baichung Bhutia and AIFF Vice President Larsing Ming attending the previous programmes.

Tanna was previously Pune FC’s Head of Operations before joining Reliance Industries Limited’s sports division in 2015. He is a prominent cog in the Indian Super League and is also a representative of IMG Reliance in the AIFF League Committee.

The MPL Kick Off Programme will start from 20.00 IST. Players and coaching staff of clubs are mandated to be present for roll call at 18.45 IST.

A briefing for MPL6 will take place from 19.00 – 19.30 IST.

Owners and Officials of MPL club, Executive members of the MFA as well as personnel from all the sub-committee bodies under the MFA and figures from all District Football Associations plus media personnel and selected invitees are expected to attend the programme.

The MPL Handbook and MPL Registration Booklet is to be released on the night.

Match timings of MPL matches
The MPL Board has also confirmed match timings for Round 1 to 7 of MPL6 with the first match taking place at 15.00 IST and the second match starting at 19.30 IST.
