Borussia Dortmund have signed UEFA U-21 European Championship winner and 2016 Olympic silver medalist Jeremy Toljan from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The 23 year old full-back penned a contract tying him to the club until June 30, 2022.

“Jeremy can slot in on both the left and right of defence,” said BVB Sporting Director Michael Zorc. “He was one of the cornerstones of the side that secured the title for Germany at the U-21 European Championship this summer. He is a player with great potential.”

Stuttgart-born Toljan made his Bundesliga debut for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in October 2013. He made 56 Bundesliga appearances for TSG, besides six appearances in the DFB-Pokal (German Cup). He was also part of the Hoffenheim squad in the 2014 India Tour organised by Adamant Sports, arunfoot and CPD Football.

Toljan has represented Germany at all age-groups (from U-17 to U-23). He was instrumental in the Germany U-23 squad which won the silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympic Football Tournament and the 2017 UEFA U-21 European Championship winning Germany U-21 team.

I would like to wish Jerry all the best for his new challenges in Dortmund and I’m looking forward to attend some live action in Dortmund very soon.
