FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017

The Ghana U-17 national team has kicked off its final phase of its preparations for the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 as the team travelled to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates yesterday.

Head coach Paa Kwasi Fabin has called up 25 players to the preliminary squad which will be cut to 21 for the tournament in India from October 6 to 28, 2017. Most of the players were part of the Ghana U-17 squad which finished runners-up at the CAF African U-17 Championship in Gabon earlier this year.

The “Black Starlets” will play a number of friendly matches during their camp in Abu Dhabi.

Ghana will face Colombia in their Group A opener at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on October 6, before they take on the United States (October 9,) and hosts India (October 12) at the same venue.
