India drop a spot to 57th in latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking

The latest quarterly FIFA Women’s World Ranking were released by the world football governing body FIFA and in the fourth rankings of 2017, India dropped a spot to be in 57th position jointly with Peru behind Iran and ahead of Bosnia & Herzegovina.

India have 1409 points, the same as last month and they stay in 13rd position in the Asian (AFC) Women’s rankings.

In South Asia, India remain in top spot ahead of Nepal (91st), Bangladesh (100th), Sri Lanka (101th), the Maldives (103rd), Afghanistan (106th) and Bhutan (114th) with Pakistan currently unranked.

There was one change in the top 5. The United States (2,114 pts) retain top spot ahead of Germany (2,052 pts) and England (2,033 pts), while Australia (2,030 pts) gained two spots in fourth as Canada (2,023 pts) stay fifth complete the top five.
