Chennaiyin FC U-15s maintain unbeaten run in U-15 Youth League

Chennaiyin FC’s U-15 team maintained its unbeaten record in the U-15 Youth League season, with a 2-2 draw against RV Soccer School at the MVM School Ground today. Harsha Vardhan and Rishab Menon scored for CFC, with Rishab’s goal coming in the final minute of stoppage time.

In a first meeting of the season between both sides, the CFC U15s fell behind in the first minute, courtesy a goal from Kamalesh for the hosts. There was an immediate response from the boys in white, equalizing courtesy a goal by Harsha Vardhan in the 6th minute.

The first-half ended with both sides tied a goal apeice. RVSS began the second-half strongly, regaining the lead in the 60th minute, with Kamalesh scoring again.

The Chennaiyin U-15s were heading for their first defeat of the season, but Rishab Menon had other ideas. In the third minute of stoppage time, Rishab scored with the last kick of the game with a stunning half-volley. The goal salvaging a point for CFC and preserving their unbeaten status this season.

The CFC U-15s will look to get back to winning ways in their next fixture against Oyyabo Sports on 28th December at the Dr. Ambedkar College Ground.
