Glasgow Rangers Soccer Schools organise success coaching clinics in India

The Rangers Soccer Schools of Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers recently travelled to India and offered coaching clinics to kids as part of an agreement with Bangalore-based Gameday Arts Academy.

Two members of the Soccer Schools team, Gary Crooks and Allan Ramsay, attended the event which was the first that the Club has attended in India. Kids between the ages of 6-15 benefited from the coaching aimed at developing young players within the Academy structure.

Jai Gill, Gameday Arts Academy CEO, said, “Gary and Allan ran a tremendous program in Bangalore and contributed greatly to the knowledge of not just the children but parents and coaches as well.”

“In addition to the camp, their visit to two schools in the city as well as the coaching workshops provided the team in India with fantastic insights into how we can develop our program locally.”

“We look forward to continuing to impact the game at the grassroots level in India and with help from the coaches at Rangers Soccer Schools, we are very confident in being able to achieve our goals.”

Gary Crooks, International Rangers Soccer Schools Executive said, “It was a privilege being part of Rangers Football Club’s first event in India.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed working with Gameday Arts Academy and the kids within their program. The popularity of football within the Bangalore community continues to grow and was clear to see during our visit.”

“The coaching staff at Gameday are doing a fantastic job with the kids, we were impressed with the players technical ability and overall standard. The hospitality shown to us was fantastic and all the staff/parents made us feel very welcome.”

“We look forward to continuing our relationship following the success of this event and assisting the development of both the players and staff at Gameday Arts Academy.”
