LaLiga to organise live screening of the El Clásico for football fans in India

LaLiga

The Spanish LaLiga is organising a match screening of the latest El Clásico between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid C.F. at Camp Nou on Sunday, May 6 for this highly anticipated match at the Instituto Cervantes.

The upcoming El Clásico will be FC Barcelona’s first match since winning the LaLiga title for the 25th time. It will be the second meeting this season, following the Santiago Bernabeu encounter, which Barcelona won 3-0.

This could also be the legendary Andres Iniesta’s last El Clásico, as the 33-year old announced that he is to end his glittering stint with the Blaugrana.

LaLiga and the Instituto Cervantes, which promotes the teaching, study and use of the Spanish language internationally, have teamed up to offer fans the chance to watch one of the greatest football rivalries. Taking their place amongst the crowd will be the winners of competitions run on social media, students from the Instituto Cervantes and members of local Real Madrid and FC Barcelona supporters’ clubs. Carlos Varona, the school’s director and Jose Ramon Barañano, the Spanish ambassador to India, will also attend the event.

Commenting on the announcement, Jose Cachaza, Country Manager, LaLiga India said, “We are excited to be hosting a live screening of the battle between two superpowers, and creating an exciting experience for supporting their favourite teams. This match grabs the attention of all football fans across the globe, and fans in India enjoy it with phenomenal passion. We, and Instituto Cervantes, want to provide fans an experience that they will always remember.”

To witness the extravaganza event, fans can enter the contest through LaLiga’s Facebook page.

Football enthusiasts across the nation can catch the El Clásico LIVE and EXCLUSIVE on SONY TEN 1 and SONY TEN 2 channels at 11pm IST onwards on Sunday, May 6.
