DFB-Pokal draw to take place at Deutsches Fußballmuseum on June 8

The draw for the 2018/19 DFB-Pokal (German Cup) 1st Round will be held at the Deutsches Fußballmuseum (German Football Museum) in Dortmund on June 8 at around 22:00 CET after the Germany vs Saudia Arabia friendly match.

A total of 64 teams will be part of the DFB-Pokal 1st Round draw, which will be carried out by German actress/presenter Palina Rojinski and DFB (German FA) president Reinhard Grindel.

The 64 teams will be divided into two pots: Pot 1 will consist of all Bundesliga clubs and the 14 best Bundesliga 2 teams according to the final table of the 2017/18 season. The remaining four Bundesliga 2 clubs will join the four best teams from the 3rd Division and the 24 amteur clubs from the lower division leagues in Pot 2.

All amateur will be automatically awarded home games and the 1st Round matches will be played from August 17 to 20.

The draw will be broadcasted live by German national tv channel ARD, while Julia Scharf will be the presenter.
