Mohammedan Sporting Club would start their campaign in the forthcoming 122nd Under-19 IFA Shield on Thursday, July 5 at the Barasat Municipal Stadium.

The Young Panthers are clubbed with the defending champions FC Pune City, ATK and East Bengal Club in the same group. After facing ATK in the opener Mohammedan Sporting will take the field against FC Pune City on July 8 before facing East Bengal in their last group game on July 11. All the matches will start at 3pm at the Barasat Stadium.

Interestingly, despite reaching the semifinals in the inaugural U-19 IFA Shield in 2015, the Young Panthers have failed to make it past the group stage in the last two editions, therefore, Ananta Kumar Ghosh’s charges are eager to change the record. Although Mohammedan Sporting has been handed a tough group but still coach Ghosh is optimistic for a good performance from his team.
