Former I-League champions Aizawl FC have signed former India defender Govin Moirangthem Singh from rivals NEROCA FC for the 2018/19 season.

30 year old Tentha-born Govin Moirangthem Singh started his football locally in Manipur before playing for Peerless SC in Kolkata and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited SC in Bangalore.

In 2008, Govin signed for Churchill Brothers SC in Goa and in his season with the club they won the 2008/09 I-League. He then spend two seasons with East Bengal Club (2009-11), before playing for Salgaocar FC (2011), United Sikkim FC (2011/12), Shillong Lajong FC (2012/13), Eagles FC (2013), Royal Wahingdoh FC (2014-16), Delhi Dynamos FC (2014), Pune City FC (2015), and NEROCA FC (2016-18).

Govin Singh had been a part of the India squad under Bob Houghton, but he only made one official appearance in the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers against Chinese Taipei.

Last season at NEROCA FC, Govin forged a strong partnership with Gouramangi Moirangthem Singh. Now he shifts to Northeast rivals Aizawl FC for the 2018/19 season.
