Chennai City FC announced their arrival for yet another exciting season on Friday, October 5 as the Southerners unveiled their colours for their 2018/19 I-League campaign.
The club managed only average performances in their previous seasons but this time around, the team now based in Coimbatore is looking to change the scenario as they gear up for a long season.
Minister of Municipal Administration and Rural Development (Govt. of Tamil Nadu) SP Velumani was the chief guest for the event. “We are thankful to Chennai City FC and Mr Rohit Ramesh for their involvement in developing football in the city and state. The government of Tamil Nadu also helped CCFC in the construction of floodlights and the grass layover at the stadium. We hope to further help their cause in the future,” he said.
Chennai City FC owner Rohit Ramesh was delighted on the success of moving from Chennai to Coimbatore, “We are pleased with the hospitality that was showed to us in Coimbatore. We are looking forward to another exciting season and hope for a better performance.”
