AU Rajasthan FC emerge champions of Rajasthan Women’s League

AU Rajasthan FC were crowned as champions of the Rajasthan Women’s League organized by the Rajasthan Football Association (RFA). AU Rajasthan FC have now earned themselves a spot in the Indian Women’s League (IWL) to be organized by the All India Football Federation (AIFF).

The Rajasthan Women’s League was held at the Witty International School in Bhilwara on 8th & 9th December 2018. Women from Rajasthan as well as across the nation participated in the two-leg league format. AU Rajasthan FC topped the table with three wins out of four games played. Mewar FC from Udaipur was placed second in the league table, while Royal FC from Jaipur stood third. Mona from AU Rajasthan FC was the highest scorer in the league with a tally of nine goals in four matches.

Mr. Nadeem Anjum, Vice President of the Rajasthan Football Association was the chief guest for the closing ceremony and also presented AU Rajasthan FC with the winners medal and trophy.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Nadeem Anjum was highly inspired by the high level of women’s football talent in the state and expressed his vision of once again seeing Rajasthan football at the top around the country in the glorious sport.
