The qualification round of 73rd edition for the Hero Santosh Trophy will kick-off with Chhatisgarh taking on Jharkhand in the East Zone qualification round on Saturday (February 2, 2019).

The qualification rounds have been divided into five zones – West, North, East, Northeast and South.

In the Northeast, South, West, North and East zones that have two groups, the winners from each team will progress into the final round.

The final round of the tournament will feature 10 teams in the quarter-final round, which would be divided into two groups of five teams each. The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals.

Kerala, the defending champions, will start their campaign when they will participate in the South Zone qualifiers.
