Borussia Dortmund has announced the transfer of midfielder Thorgan Hazard from Bundesliga rivals Borussia Mönchengladbach. The 26-year-old Belgium international has signed a contract at Dortmund which will keep him at the club until June 30, 2024.

“We are delighted that Thorgan has decided to join us confidently. He is an experienced Bundesliga player and a Belgium international, who will help us with his pace and goal-scoring qualities. He has proved his class in the last few years,” said BVB Sporting Director Michael Zorc.

“I am grateful for five wonderful years at Borussia Mönchengladbach and great memories. It’s now the right time to take the next step in my career. I am proud to get a chance to play for Borussia Dortmund. It’s a top class club with amazing fans,” said Hazard.
