Gadhinglaj United Football Association has selected Mr. Robin Xavier (Joint Secretary, Rajasthan Football Association & President, Jalore Football Association) for the prestigious “Football Proud 2019” All India Award.

This is a National Level Annual Award for well-known players, individuals, coaches, organization, who are working for football development. The main object of this award to motivate people & organization who are working for development of football in India.

Gadhinglaj United started the Football Proud Award from last three season. They wanted to motivate those individuals, organization who continuously working for Indian football development. The aim is to promote those who are always behind the scenes but their work in football is an inspiration to all.

Karnataka Government Lifetime Sports Awardee coach Dadapeer (Bangalore), ex international coach Raman Vijayan (Tamil Nadu), AIFF executive member Deepak Sharma (Himachal Pradesh) are the last three year awardees. For this Football Proud Award this year the award selection committee has selected Robin’s name. The committee have members from all over India who go thru a long list of nominations before finalizing the name.

Gadhinglaj has glorious history of football for the last 90 years. Football is the soul of Gadhinglaj, one of the striking features is that our small town runs All India football tournament in Diwali vacation from the last 60 years. Due to this notable feature Gadhinglaj has achieved nationwide reputation. It is possible only due with the love & service of Gadhinglaj people for football.

The Award distribution ceremony will be on 29th June 2019 at 11am at Gandhinglaj, Maharsthra.

MP Sanjay Mandlik, MLA & Ex-Minister Hasan Mushrif, City Mayor Swati Kori are the Chief Guest for the ceremony and this is the first time someone from Rajasthan is been selected for this award.
