The Indian Women’s national team went down to Villarreal CF in the opening match of the COTIF Cup 2019.
Sheila Gomez (9′) and Nazaret Padron (61′) scored the goals for the Spanish club side in their 2-0 win against India.
Villarreal entered the competition as a last minute replacement for the Equatorial Guinea Women’s national team, who had to pull out due to visa issues.
