All India Football Federation’s Technical Director Isac Doru conducted a two-day Scouting and Youth Development Workshop on August 1 and 2, 2019 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha along with the Government of Odisha to tutor the participants on the minute technicalities of scouting.

The workshop was planned specifically for 21 coaches who came from across the districts in the state. Dubbing Odisha as a potential hotbed for talent in India, Isac Doru said, “The workshop was very useful and we worked together to understand problems and identify solutions at the same time. We also worked to develop an understanding of scouting.”

“The participants were very positive and wanted to pick up useful details. We also discussed various technical details like tactics and psychological factors,” he added.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Government of Odisha and the AIFF, wherein the federation will provide technical support to the development of football and talent in Odisha, Isac Doru instructed the participants on the technicalities of the game.

Odisha has been a hub for the Indian National Teams of late where the Indian Women’s Team, the Indian Men’s U-19 and U-16 Teams and Hero I-League’s Indian Arrows have all had National Camps at various venues in the state. The state has also held multiple international tournaments organized by the AIFF.
