DSC Arminia Bielefeld have announced the signing of Swedish goalkeeper Oscar Linnér. The 22-year-old has signed a contract which will keep him at the Bundesliga 2 leaders until June 30, 2023.

The 2m tall goalkeeper was the first-choice goalkeeper of 2018 Swedish Allsvenskan champions AIK Solna for the last three years. He has also made his debut for the Swedish senior national team during a friendly match against Iceland in January 2019.

“Oscar is a young and experienced goalkeeper who has gained international exposure in the last couple of years. We are convinced that he will make us more flexible with his qualities which will help us to be well prepared for any eventuality,” said Samir Arabi, CEO Sports, DSC Arminia Bielefeld.

Arminia Bielefeld are currently at the top the Bundesliga 2 table after impressive results throughout the last calendar year. The Uwe Neuhaus coached side have 34 points from 18 matches so far, while they aim to keep the momentum when the league returns to action from the traditional winter break on January 28.
