Liverpool FC have won the 2019-20 Premier League title following Manchester City’s 2-1 loss at Chelsea FC on Thursday. The Reds’ have an unassailable lead at the top of the standings with seven matches remaining.
The triumph brings to an end a 30-year wait for the Premier League title following their previous success in 1990. Liverpool’s title success is the 19th in the club’s history.
“I have no words. It’s unbelievable,” LFC manager Jürgen Klopp told Sky Sports. “It’s much more than I ever thought, to become champions with this outstanding club is unbelievable.”
“It’s an incredible achievement for my players. It’s the best thing I could ever imagine and it’s more than I ever dreamed of,” the German gaffer added.
