Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt and the City of Frankfurt have signed a leasing agreement for the “Deutsche Bank Park”.

“The City of Frankfurt and Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG have put pen to paper on a commercial leasing agreement for the usage of the stadium and the area belonging to it,” Eintracht Frankfurt stated in an official communiqué. “The contract covers what the two parties had already agreed on at the end of last year when they signed a memorandum of understanding.”

“From tomorrow, Wednesday 1 July 2020 and for the next 15 years, Eintracht Frankfurt will become the main tenants of the stadium which will now be known as the ‘Deutsche Bank Park’. Capacity is also to be increased to around 60,000 by the beginning of the 2023/24 season.”

“The contract is being implemented by Eintracht Frankfurt Stadion GmbH, a subsidiary of Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG set up specifically for this purpose and whose CEOs Julien Zamberk and Patrik Meyer will be taking over the stadium as of tomorrow in conjunction with the city’s operating company,” the statement concluded.
