Denechandra Meitei joins Kerala Blasters FC from TRAU FC

Indian Super League franchise Kerala Blasters FC have announced the signing of left-back Denechandra Meitei from I-League side TRAU FC.

26 year old Manipur-born Yendrembam Denechandra Meitei played locally before playing for the SAIL-Mohun Bagan Football Academy, Sambalpur Academy and Pune FC Football Academy before making his I-League debut for Pune FC on October 10, 2013 against Mohun Bagan.

Thereafter Denechandra Meitei played for Ozone FC in Bangalore, Sangolband United FC in Manipur before playing for Churchill Brothers, NEROCA FC and TRAU FC over the last three seasons of the I-League.

Now Denechandra Meitei joins Kerala Blasters and he said, “It has always been a dream to be a part of a prestigious league like the ISL and I am looking forward to playing in the upcoming season with Kerala Blasters. I hope to contribute to the success of the team with the best of my abilities. The club has a great fan base that is well renowned across the country and I am very excited to play for them.”
