Turbine Potsdam send Anna Gasper on loan to Austria’s FC Altera Porta

German Women’s Bundesliga side 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam have agreed to send Anna Gasper on loan to Vienna, Austria for the 2020-21 season. Gasper will will join Austrian 2nd Division side FC Altera Porta. The 23 year old footballer returns to the game after taking a months-long hiatus from professional football.

Gasper extended her contract with Turbine Potsdam in July 2019, while being on the verge of earning her debut of the German Women’s national team, before she took the decision in early 2020 to take a break until the end of the season. In an open letter to the club and its fans, Gasper said: “The challenges of my apprenticeship and professional sports at the highest level turned out to be a mental drain for me. By the end of the year 2019 I made the decision to stay abreast of changes and to fundamentally change my living conditions.”

Gasper has shifted her centre of life to Vienna and has found back the love for the game. Turbine Potsdam have received the news with delight and obliged to her wish of a loan deal for the forthcoming season.

Turbine Potsdam stated in a press release that the club will surley miss the services of such a talented player, but at the same time underlined that the priority is laid on the health condition. The club has also assured Gasper all the help she needs and their support on the upgrade.
