India move-up to 53rd in FIFA Women’s World Ranking

The latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking were released by the world football governing body earlier today and in the fourth rankings of 2020, India gain two spots in 53rd position alongside South Africa behind Croatia, but ahead of Venezuela.

India have 1432 points, the same as in the last quarter and they retain their 10th position in the Asian (AFC) Women’s rankings.

In South Asia, India remain in top spot ahead of Nepal (92nd), Sri Lanka (127th) and the Maldives (128th) with Bangladesh, Bhutan and Pakistan currently unranked.

There were no changes in the top 5. The 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup winners United States (2,192 pts) retain top spot ahead of Germany (2,091 pts), France (2,032 pts), the Netherlands (2.023 pts) and Sweden (2,009 pts) completes the top five.
