Bundesliga side DSC Arminia Bielefeld have completed their activities in the winter transfer period with the signing of Michel Vlap. The 23-year-old Dutch attacking midfielder joins Bielefeld on a loan deal from Belgian record champions RSC Anderlecht until the end of the 2020/21 season.

“We have completed our transfer activities this winter with the signing of Michel Vlap. We are happy to secure his services for the Bundesliga and we are confident that he will help us immediately with his qualities. He is a versatile offensive player with a great position game, skilful passing and a great finish.”

The former Netherlands youth international has scored eleven goals in 34 matches for the Belgian side since his transfer from SC Heerenveen. Prior to this, Vlap had scored 20 goals in 59 games in the Dutch Eredivisie.

Arminia Bielefeld head coach Uwe Neuhaus said: “Michel is a type of player we were missing in our squad. He is an offensive player who can play different positions and act as a second striker. With Michel, we will be able to create an even better goal threat.”
