The latest FIFA World Ranking was released by the world football governing body yesterday and in the April rankings, India drop a spot into 105th behind Palestine, but ahead of Thailand; while 2018 FIFA World Cup semifinalists Belgium stays No. 1.

India have 1184 points, three less than in the February ranking and they stay in 19th position of the Asian (AFC) rankings.

India played two friendlies in the last window and India will next play their postponed 2022 FIFA World Cup / 2023 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers in June 2021.

In South Asia, India remain in top spot ahead of the Maldives (155th), Nepal (171st), Bangladesh (184th), Bhutan (187th), Pakistan (199th) and Sri Lanka (204th) in what was another mixed month for the region.

There were no changes across the top 5. Belgium (1,783 points) stay No. 1, ahead of 2018 FIFA World Cup winners France (1,757 pts), 2019 Copa America winners Brazil (1,743 points), England (1,686 pts), and Portugal (1,666 pts) to complete the top five.
