15:00 CET // AIFF general secretary Kushal Das: “The reports are wrong! Rudi Voeller hasn’t applied!”

12:00 CET // Official Statement by Bayer 04 Leverkusen to my colleague Arunava Chaudhuri:
“We are surprised at the news media reports out of India. The whole story is baseless. Rudi Voeller is and will stay Director of Sports at Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Rudi Voeller is not even thinking about ending his successful work in the German Bundesliga to become coach of the Indian national team.”

11:00 CET // Bayer 04 Leverkusen denies the Rudi Voeller rumour. Voeller has not applied for the India job according to the club. He didn’t even know that the job was available they stated.
