India U23 camp gets underway in Pune

The India U23 preparation camp for the 2nd Round Asian Qualifiers of the 2012 London Olympics kicked-off on Friday.

The Indian team had to train indoors on Friday due to heavy rains on the first day in Pune, but they had finally the chance to have a training session on grass yesterday.

India U23 coach Desmond Bulpin is aware of the strengths of his team’s opponent Qatar and the need to prepare well for the crucial encounter.

Bulpin: “It’s important to prepare in the right manner for such a crucial match.”

India will face Qatar at the Al Sadd Stadium,Doha on June 19, while the return-leg match will be held at Pune’s Balewadi Sports Complex on June 23.
