Bayern Munich sign Usami on loan

German giants FC Bayern Munich have agreed a deal with Gamba Osaka to sign teenage wonder Takashi Usami on loan.

The 19-year-old Japanese international will join the Germans in mid-July and will remain the property of the J-League club. Bayern will monitor Usami’s progress in the 2011/12 season and they have the option to offer him a full contract at the end of the season, if he convinces the team management.

“Bayern Munich is one of the world’s top clubs,” Usami said at a press conference. “I know it will be tough to get into the team, but I’m sure I can learn a lot by playing with those in the club.”
