Indian senior team score convincing win

The Indian senior national team has won their third pratice match against the India U23 team at the Dr. Ambedkar Stadium today.

Peter Carvalho and Syed Rahim Nabi scored for the Indian team to regiser a 2-0 win against the U23 side.

East Bengal midfielder Mehtab Hussain made a comeback in the senior team after a gap of five years.

“I would like to thank god first of all. Nothing is impossible, if you believe in yourself and work hard for your goal. I am very much satisfied with the current progress especially after a notable performance in the I-League and I will try to give my best,” Mehtab said at the sidelines of the match.

Meanwhile, Syed Rahim Nabi has expressed his satisfaction with the team selection. “We have a very good mixture of young and experienced players in the team. The seniors are guiding the juniors very well and the juniors are responding as well. All the players understand the importance of the coming matches and are giving their best in the training sessions,” Nabi said.
