England vs France – Exclusive Pictures – FIFA Women’s World Cup 2011

France became the first team to qualify for the semifinals of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2011, defeating England 4-3 on penalties.

I attended the match at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Stadium in Leverkusen and I was able to witness an an entertaining match.

The atmosphere was quite incredible and it proved worthy for a quarterfinal match.

The game had finished 1-1 after extra time after Jill Scott and Elise Bussaglia’s second half goals, but the game went into a penalty shoot-out to find a winner.

England skipper Faye White missed the deciding spot-kick to the delight of the French fans at the venue.
