USA are into the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2011 Final with two late goals eventually subduing a brave France 3-1 in Monchengladbach, as the world #1 seek to secure their first crown since 1999.
I attended the match at the Stadion im Borussia-Park in Moenchengladbach and I was able to witness an an entertaining match.
The atmosphere was quite incredible and it proved worthy for a semifinal match.
The action-packed match was locked 1-1 until Abby Wambach and substitute Alex Morgan scored twice in the space of three minutes in the latter stages to end France’s dreams of a first Final appearance.
