The Indian U19 national team took on one of Europe’s most popular teams, when they faced Sport Lisboa e Benfica’s junior team in their final Group B match today.
The Colm Toal coached side lost to the Portuguese team 0-2, while FC Adelaide drew hosts Shandong Luneng Taishan FC 1-1 in the second match.
India have qualified for the semifinal with 4 points out of three group matches.
The semifinal and classification matches will be played tomorrow.
