India to face Bahrain

The Indian women’s national team will face Bahrain in three international friendly matches in the month of September. Shasmita Malik has been named captain of the Indian team for the upcoming tour.

The three friendly matches have been scheduled on following dates:

Match 1 | September 17, 2011 | Kick-off: 20.30 IST / 17.00 CET / 16.00 GMT

Match 2 | September 20, 2011 | Kick-off: 20.30 IST / 17.00 CET / 16.00 GMT

Match 3 | September 23, 2011 | Kick-off: 20.30 IST / 17.00 CET / 16.00 GMT

The matches will be played at the Al Ahli Club Stadium in Manama, Bahrain.

“The girls are up for the challenge. We have trained hard and hope to perform well,” chief coach Mohammad Shahid Jabbar told.

The Indian squad had a training camp under the supervision of Jabbar in Lucknow.
