Renedy Singh having trials in Norway

Indian midfielder Renedy Singh has joined Norway’s Tromsø IL for a three-day long trial. The seasoned Indian international had his first training session with the Norwegian 1st Division side earlier today.

Renedy was able to get a first impression of the game in Norway in a training session at the Alfheim Stadion, which happens to be the home ground of Tromsø IL.

The United Sikkim midfielder felt that the intensity of the training is comparable to his experiences with the Indian national team.

“The intensity was high with quick passing, but I feel that I was able to hang in handy,” Renedy told.

Tromsø IL coach Agnar Christensen refused to give any assessment of Renedy’s first session with his team.

“It’s exciting to see the qualities of players from a different part of the world,” Helge Kræmer (Tromsø IL Chairman) said. “He has earned many caps for his country and he has a certain quality.”

Renedy will be having two more sessions with Tromsø IL on Wednesday and Thursday.
