Indian duo witness Rangers defeat at Kilmarnock

Trialists Sunil Chhetri and Jeje Lalpekhula travelled to Kilmarnock with Rangers FC for the club’s SPL clash in East Ayrshire.

Rangers suffered their first league defeat of the season under the watchful eyes of Sunil and Jeje, who experienced the match from the tribunes of the Rugby Park.

Kilmarnock scored the lone goal of the match in the 80th minute, when Manuel Pascali headed in a cross by Garry Hay.

“I would question the players’ tempo and their attitude to go and win it,” Rangers manager Ally McCoist told the club’s website. “We didn’t play the game at a high enough tempo and we didn’t show enough urgency to earn the three points.”

Rangers FC will be playing German Bundesliga outfit Hamburger SV in an away friendly match on Tuesday. India strikers Sunil Chhetri and Jeje Lalpekhula will face the Germans, if the necessary clearance will be secured in time.
