FC Bayern Munich arrives in Delhi

European powerhouses FC Bayern Munich have reached the Indian capital of Delhi. The German Bundesliga side reached the Indira Gandhi International Airport on a Lufthansa flight at 17.00 IST.

Coach Jupp Heynckes, captain Philipp Lahm and midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger were immediately taken to the team hotel for a pre-match press conference.

The trio were joined by All India Football Federation general secretary Kushal Das, India coach Savio Medeira, star skipper Baichung Bhutia and Audi head Michael Perschke at the press conference.

The remaining Bayern officials and players checked-in at their hotel and regrouped with the mentioned FCB trio for a dinner organised by sponsors Audi.

Bayern will take on the Indian national team in the “Audi Football Summit” at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Tuesday evening.
