India to face Azerbaijan in friendly match

The Indian national team will face Azerbaijan in an international FIFA friendly match. The match will be played in Dubai during India’s preparation camp for the AFC Challenge Cup 2012.

Savio Medeira’s men will take on Oman on January 23, before they lock horns with Azerbaijan four days later.

Azerbaijan is ranked 111th in the FIFA World Rankings and they are a member association of the European body UEFA. The team from the Caucasus region are coached by former Germany manager Berti Vogts.

The Indian team will assemble in New Delhi on February 13, before the travel to Dubai for the preparation camp scheduled to start on January 15.
