Friendly Match: Oman 5-1 India

The Indian national team went down 1-5 to Oman in an international FIFA friendly match at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex, Muscat.

Savio Medeira’s team conceeded two early goals within a span of two minutes, which destroyed India’s gameplan.

Mohamad al Gasani (5′) and Ismail Alajmi (7′) scored for the hosts to give the Omanis a 2-0 lead at half-time.

Ismail Alajmi scored his second goal of the day in the 58th minute, but India reduced the margin moments later through Joaquim Abranches.

Hasan Rabea scored the fourth goal for the hosts, while substitute Abdullah Thuwaini added a fifth one moments before the final whistle.
